Tommy Richman appeared on DLOU's Twitch stream on June 3, 2025, where they were hanging out with the likes of Cash Cobain and B Jack$ in a studio in L.A. DLOU asked Richman to sing Million Dollar Baby during the stream. The rapper slammed him, stating DLOU needs to show respect and asserted that he will not sing on his command.
For the unversed, Richman gained huge popularity last year with his single Million Dollar Baby. The song became viral on social media, especially TikTok and Instagram Reels, in 2024.
Billboard reported how Richman reacted to DLOU's singing request, saying:
“I ain’t singing that sh*t, bro. What am I? A dancing monkey? I’m not singing that sh*t. I don’t even know you, bro.”
The rapper continued:
“I’m not singing sh*t. So chill out, bro. Have some respect. Have some respect, bro. I just met you, bro. You’re telling me to sing a song. Talk to me like a real man. I don’t give a f**k about this streaming sh**, bro. Talk to me like a real man.”
He even urged the streamer to remove his camera from him and not to be "weird" to him.

In an interview with Variety, published on December 6, 2024, Tommy Richman spoke about Million Dollar Baby. He explained how it went from just a snippet to a huge hit that stuck with people for a long time.
Richman dropped his single, Selfish, in April 2024 and was set to promote it. However, he then posted a snippet of Million Dollar Baby on his TikTok account. It went viral and garnered over 9 million views in no time. The singer recalled:
“People were berating me on Instagram and in my DMs saying, ‘Drop this song!’. I probably got a couple thousand DMs, which was insane, and then I told my label, ‘We gotta drop this song next week! We need to chase this moment — it’s time.’”

Richman had recorded the track at a studio owned by his label, Pulse Records. He had signed a joint-venture deal with Brent Faiyaz's ISO Supremacy. About their expectations from the song back then, Richman said:
“Honest to God, it was just a normal session. I thought it could have been a hit. Everyone was like, ‘This is good,’ but no one was like, ‘This is going to be a No. 1 song.’”
The song debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 upon its release. Richman added:
“I think that song is going to last forever. I went out the other day, and they’re still playing it, which is kind of surprising to me — I’m like, ‘Y’all still playing this song?’ But I’m very thankful.”
The single's immense success set the platform for Tommy Richman to release his full studio album, Coyote, in September 2024. The singer also revealed in the interview that he was working on a new album.
