A WWE legend recently opened up about the rumors of him making an in-ring return. According to the legend in question, Mick Foley, the match can only happen if he reaches a certain goal with his body.

Mick Foley is rightfully considered one of the greatest names in the Stamford-based promotion's history. The last time he laced up his boots was at the 2012 Royal Rumble, and he has been retired from the ring ever since. Recently, he talked about a meeting with AEW star MJF, where they had brainstormed ideas about one final match for the WWE Hall of Famer.

Speaking in a video, the WWE legend talked about how he had to lose weight in order to get into ring-worthy shape. He said:

"Maybe, maybe if I continue to drop LBs (weight) and I get down to the 250-pound mark, maybe, maybe, we can revisit the idea. So, I don't wanna give away too much. But he (MJF) had some great ideas. I think it would have gone down really well with wrestling fans. It meant something different, emotional, really captivating. Largely because of him. But I'd be part of that too." [1:00 onwards]

The WWE legend was really appreciative of MJF's ideas

According to Mick Foley, MJF had some strikingly brilliant ideas about his potential return match.

Speaking in the same video, Foley mentioned how interested he was in MJF's vision for his final match. He explained that the meeting they had was top secret, with no photos either.

"I was giving some serious thought to having one more match for my 60th birthday, one final match. And I got all kinds of great inquiries from all across the wrestling spectrum. From the deathmatch wrestlers, to WWE wrestlers, and in AEW, MJF really had a great idea. He was really sinking his teeth into some ideas. We met, top secret meeting, no photos even available to prove there was a meeting. You have to take my word for it. We met, he has got some great ideas, he really did. If I could have pulled it off, I think I may have gone in that direction." [0:13 onwards]

For now, it remains to be seen what is next for the WWE legend.
