The SmackDown star emerged victorious in the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match over the weekend and is now guaranteed a future title shot. The Princess of Staten Island's contract with the promotion expired in February 2025, and WWE elected not to renew it. Carmella is married to NXT announcer Corey Graves in real life, and the happy couple has a child together. The former Money in the Bank winner's last televised match in the company was a loss to Bianca Belair on the March 6, 2023, edition of WWE RAW.
Natalya recently discussed Naomi's career resurgence and stated that the veteran was an inspiration to her.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter, Natalya revealed that the 37-year-old inspired her. She noted that Triple H still sees value in the Money in the Bank winner and that her time in the spotlight will come as well.
"Naomi is so inspiring to me because it's proof that Triple H is willing to invest in a talent that has been around for a long time. Naomi, you know she has talked about how she has been waiting 15 years for this chance, to have this match. You know, like, well over a decade to have this moment. She started a couple of years after me. And so the fact that she is this deep into her career and Triple H sees so much value in her ability in the ring and her ability to tell stories, it is giving me so much inspiration and so much faith that you know, my time will come too."
