In a new interview with Quenlin Blackwell, shared on her YouTube channel on Monday, June 9, 2025, Addison Rae joked about her viral "hydrated [Hi, drated]" moment. In Blackwell's Feeding Starving Celebrities YouTube series, she asked the TikTok-star-turned-singer about what internet moment she would erase from her digital footprint, and while Addison gave her answer, it was censored.

She also revealed that there's another internet moment that she would like to erase, which is "the hydrated one."

The Diet Pepsi singer previously went viral over the "hydrated" video, where someone would tell her while she was drinking from her water bottle, "Addison, stay hydrated."

It was a play of words on "Addison, say 'Hi, Drated,'" to which she would reply, "Hi, Drated."

In Blackwell's YouTube video, Addison recalled and recreated the viral trend while she and Blackwell laughed about it and tried to defend herself, saying:

"I just want a moment to defend that for myself. But I hate defending myself 'cause I have nothing to defend, actually, 'cause I'm honest about who I am... That was also a time when everybody was asking everyone to say hi to their friends. Like, people would come up to you... and people were like, 'Say hi to my friends.'"

She said that the viral moment started like that—her trying to greet someone's friend, saying, "Hi, Drated."

However, she laughed, telling Blackwell, "I was like, 'I've never heard this name before.'" Blackwell then joked that Addison Rae should name her kid Drated.

Addison Rae recently released her debut album, Addison

TikTok star who ventured into the music scene, Addison Rae, finally released her self-titled debut album last week on Friday, June 6, 2025, through Columbia Records.

The album comes after she released her hit single, Diet Pepsi, a year ago, which is included in her debut album. The 12-track project has zero features, and all were co-written by her.

Gearing up for the album's release, the Diet Pepsi singer had a release party at the burlesque-inspired The Box nightclub in New York late on Thursday, June 5, per Harper's Bazaar.

It was reportedly co-hosted by Spotify, and Addison performed songs from her album for the first time in front of guests like Amelia Gray, Conan Gray, JADE, Julia Fox, and more.

The release of Diet Pepsi was Addison Rae's first venture on the Billboard Hot 100, which peaked at No.54 after its 2024 release. It stayed on the charts for 20 weeks.

Moreover, according to Spotify, the single reached nearly 390 million Spotify streams. She also has two other songs from Addison that made it into the Billboard Hot 100: Headphones On at No.87 and Fame Is a Gun at No.94.

Meanwhile, her debut album got an 8.0 score from Pitchfork, which described it as a "girly pop album of summer" that could be compared to Lana Del Rey, Madonna, and Britney Spears.

Addison Rae's debut album comes after her first foray into music through her single Obsessed, which was released in 2021.

Two years after that, she released an EP, AR, with hits like I Got It Bad and 2 Die 4, which featured Charlie XCX.
