Manchester United attacker Rasmus Hojlund has reportedly given Inter Milan the green signal for a move in the summer transfer window. According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Milan are close to signing the Danish attacker and can soon make the offer.
Nerazzurri had Joshua Zirkzee on transfer radar, too. However, after the Red Devils decided to keep the Dutchman at Old Trafford, the Italian giants shifted their focus only to Hojlund. However, Inter Milan would have to complete the deal soon before any issues arise in the transfer market.
Rasmus Hojlund has agreed to a return to Italy and is ready to play for Nerazzurri. Manchester United are in favour of the deal, having signed Matheus Cunha and being close to landing Bryan Mbeumo. However, Inter and United are unable to agree on a deal that would benefit both sides.
The Serie A giants want a loan deal with an option to buy, while the Red Devils are keen on selling the Danish attacker on a permanent deal. Rasmus Hojlund joined United on a five-year contract from Atalanta in August 2023 for a reported fee of €80 million plus add-ons. After two years, United value the former Copenhagen forward between €40 and €45 million.
Manchester United are not willing to sell Argentine defender Lisandro Martinez, despite interest from Serie A clubs. According to Sky Sport (via Metro), Ruben Amorim is impressed by the 27-year-old and sees him as a key player in United's defense.
Martinez joined the Red Devils from Ajax in July 2022 for a reported transfer fee of €67 million. He started well at Old Trafford, making 45 appearances in his first season, helping the side keep 20 clean sheets and winning the EFL Cup.
However, due to two major injuries in the last two seasons, the Argentine defender has missed almost 80 games for the Premier League giants. Martinez also suffered a cruciate ligament injury in February, which has ruled him out for the entire season.
His return timeline is also uncertain, as recovery and rehabilitation can take anywhere between six and 12 months. Napoli have been interested in signing the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner. However, the transfer seems unlikely.
