Bangladesh and Singapore will battle for three points in a 2027 Asian Cup qualifier on Tuesday (June 10th). The game will be played at The Bashundhara Kings Arena.
The hosts will be looking to build on the 2-0 victory they registered over Bhutan in a friendly last week. Hamza Choudhury gave them the lead in the sixth minute while Sohel Rana doubled their advantage four minutes into the second half.
The Red and Green will shift their focus to the Asian Cup qualifiers where their last game saw them play out a goalless draw away to India.
Singapore, meanwhile, prepared for this game with a 3-1 victory over The Maldives in a friendly last week. They were three goals up at the break thanks to Amirul Adli Bin Azmi's opener and Ikhsan bin Fandi Ahmad's brace. Ahmed Rizuvan pulled one back deep into injury time. Their last game in the Qualifiers was also a goalless draw at home to Hong Kong.
The respective stalemates left all sides in Group C on one point apiece.
Bangladesh have not qualified for the Asian Cup in over four decades, with their last appearance coming in 1980. They are unbeaten in their last three games, winning two games in this sequence.
Singapore were last in the Asian Cup in 1984 and registered their first win in six months last week.
The margins in this group are so slim at this early stage and both sides will be wary of dropping points. We are backing the spoils to be shared in a goalless stalemate.
Prediction: Bangladesh 0-0 Singapore
Tip 1 - Result: Draw
