Myanmar host Pakistan at the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon on Tuesday for their clash in the 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers. Ranked 162nd in the world, the Chinthe began their campaign with a narrow 2-1 win over Afghanistan back in March.

Omid Popalzay fired the Afghans in front after 14 minutes, but Than Paing restored parity in the 28th minute. Maung Maung Lwin then scored the winner for Myanmar in the 75th minute to earn them all three points.

However, they are still in second place in Group E behind Syria by virtue of goal difference. Head coach Myo Hlaing Win has called up 27 players for their Pakistan clash, with Lwin back in the mix. ISPE midfielder Kyaw Thiha Zaw is among the three uncapped players in the squad and will be hoping to get a few minutes off the bench.

On the other hand, Pakistan were beaten 2-0 by Syria in their opening game of the Asian Cup qualifiers. Ahmad Faqa fired them in front after 23 minutes before Omar Al Somah doubled their advantage in the 56th minute.

Ranked 198th in the world, Pakistan are one of the 20 lowest-ranked teams in the world, given their poor record in history. They haven't even played many games lately, with the 3-0 loss to Tajikistan in last year's World Cup qualifiers being their only other official fixture since 2024.

Myanmar vs Pakistan Head-To-Head and Key Numbers

Myanmar vs Pakistan Prediction

This is a clash of two lowly-ranked teams without much game time under their belt in recent times. Myanmar have played just once so far in 2025, whereas Pakistan have played only twice since last year.

Nonetheless, the Chinthe look stronger on paper and could come away with a narrow victory against one of the weakest teams in the world.

Prediction: Myanmar 2-0 Pakistan
