Welcome to another edition of the WWE News Roundup, where we bring you the top stories from the world of the sports entertainment juggernaut.
Roman Reigns is currently missing in action, but he is still making headlines after a bold claim by a veteran. A former writer feels TKO and Triple H may not be in control of the Stamford-based promotion for long.
We also have a story on Jacob Fatu's future after his shocking turn at the Money in the Bank 2025 Premium Live Event. So, without further ado, let's begin:
Roman Reigns hasn't been seen on WWE TV since the RAW after WrestleMania 41. Amid the OTC's absence, a veteran has shared some potentially worrying news related to his contract.
While speaking on Lucha Libre Online, Hugo Savinovich gave a breakdown of Reigns' alleged $15 million salary in the global juggernaut.
"While they won’t outright release him, he won’t be making $15 million per year anymore...Now, why $15 million? Let me break it down. Roman Reigns’ base salary is $5 million. But then there are add-ons—pay-per-views, video game deals like WWE 2K, promotional appearances, merchandise royalties (he earns 30% on merch, which is huge), and special bonuses like appearances in Saudi Arabia. Plus, he earns a cut from ticket sales. All of this adds up to $15 million a year."
The 66-year-old Spanish commentator then brought up TKO's cost-cutting tendencies and how Roman Reigns' part-time status could lead to his contract getting renegotiated.
“And TKO? They’re cutting costs across the board. We’ve seen recent releases, and there are rumors of more. Remember when Nick Khan—a major WWE exec—announced he was selling $4 million worth of stock? That raised eyebrows. TKO is saying: Roman’s not around full-time. Why are we paying him so much? So, they want to renegotiate.”
It remains to be seen if TKO pull off such a move, judging by the Original Tribal Chief's importance to WWE.
Vince McMahon is one of the pioneers of the pro wrestling industry and changed its perception in a major way. However, his image has taken a hit in recent years due to multiple allegations.
He is no longer a part of WWE, but it may not stay that way for longer, according to Vince Russo. The veteran recently took to X/Twitter to claim that Vince McMahon and his partners from Saudi Arabia could be in cahoots to buy the Stamford-based promotion from TKO.
"If you don't think there's anything there with @VinceMcMahon and the Saudis and their PLOY to buy the @WWE, it's because you Don't Know @VinceMcMahon. It's REAL, and it may have been the Plan from Day 1!!!" tweeted Vince Russo.
Money in the Bank 2025 was full of surprises. However, none top the moment when Jacob Fatu betrayed Solo Sikoa in the men's ladder match. He destroyed Sikoa and cost him the opportunity to win the MITB briefcase.
While speaking exclusively with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Bill Apter reacted to The Samoan Werewolf's turn. Apter felt that with Fatu seemingly turning face, he could form an alliance with Jey Uso or with both of The Usos.
"Something nobody's probably filled up, but now with Jacob Fatu as a babyface, as a good guy, maybe he will align himself with Jey Uso. Or with Jey and Jimmy Uso," Apter said.
It will be interesting to see what Triple H has in store for Jacob Fatu in the sports entertainment juggernaut in the coming weeks.
