It's no secret that Jimmy Uso hasn't found the same level of success as his brother, Jey Uso, in singles competition. He was slated to receive a major push for WrestleMania 41 in the United States Championship picture before those plans fell apart, as per a new report.
Jimmy Uso is an essential part of the upper mid-card scene on Friday Nights. In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 41, it looked like he could be inserted into the US Title picture. However this wasn't meant to be as the then-champion LA Knight defended his gold against Jacob Fatu. Jimmy celebrated with Jey Uso who defeated Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at The Grandest Stages of Them All.
As per a recent tweet by industry insider Cory Hays of BodySlam, WWE had plans for Big Jim to get involved in the US Title scene at The Show of Shows, but those plans were ultimately nixed.
"They had plans for Jimmy in the US Title scene leading to Mania but a lot of plans changed for Mania," tweeted Hays.

This week's RAW witnessed one of the most heartbreaking finishes in recent memory as Jey Uso lost his World Heavyweight Title to Gunther ending his reign at just 51 days. While fans were understandably distraught over seeing such a fan-favorite star losing a recent update suggests WWE has big plans for him.
It's being rumored that the promotion could be on the verge of reuniting Jey and Jimmy as The Usos. Though some might view this as The Yeet Man being relegated back to the tag team division, there's no doubt a reunion with his brother could bring the house down and insert more energy into WWE's tag team division.
Additionally it could give Jimmy Uso something worthwhile to sink his teeth into as his current rivals, Bloodline, are busy with their own internal turmoil following Jacob Fatu's betrayal of Solo Sikoa at MITB 2025.
