John Cena drops cryptic post following major WWE Saudi Arabia announcement
John Cena dropped a cryptic post on Instagram following a major WWE announcement last night on RAW. The legend will be defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against CM Punk at Night of Champions on June 28 in Saudi Arabia.
CM Punk confronted John Cena in the opening segment of last night's episode of WWE RAW in Phoenix, Arizona. The confrontation led to a title match being announced for the PLE later this month. The Second City Saint mocked The Miz in the past, stating that he was taking "blood money" to compete in Saudi Arabia.
John Cena took to Instagram to share an image from Seth Rollins' successful Intercontinental Championship defense in a Ladder match at Greatest Royal Rumble 2018 in Saudi Arabia. He shared a picture of The Miz hitting a Skull Crushing Finale on Samoa Joe from the match. Joe was CM Punk's last opponent in All Elite Wrestling before he was fired by the promotion in 2023.

Cena teamed up with Logan Paul to battle Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso in the main event of Money in the Bank. R-Truth returned as Ron Killings and attacked The Last Real Champion during the match, leading to Main Event Jey and Rhodes picking up the victory.
Vince Russo comments on how he would book John Cena in WWE
Wrestling legend Vince Russo recently shared how he would have booked John Cena's final run in WWE.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo show, the veteran stated that he would have mapped everything out and presented it to the 48-year-old. Russo seemingly suggested that the company didn't plan out Cena's retirement tour ahead of time.
"If I know Cena agrees to a comeback tour, okay, and he gives me or gives us the timeframe and how many dates, okay? Bro, it's John Cena. So I am mapping out the entire time that he is going to be with the company. I am mapping it all out. I am presenting it to him. I am getting his feedback and his input, and we are off to the races."
