Big E has been facing a long spell on the sidelines due to a neck injury. He has now accidentally spoiled his WWE future.
The former New Day member has seemingly found an alternative career path since being put out of commission a few years ago. He has seamlessly transitioned into a panelist role, providing his valuable insights during premium live events.
Speaking to The Sporting Tribune, Big E revealed that he never had intentions of becoming a broadcaster, but his untimely injury opened several doors for him.
He said WWE reached out to him for this role about a year ago, and he has since enjoyed it.
The 39-year-old superstar added that he wants to continue as a broadcaster, which confirms that he still hasn't been cleared to return to in-ring action.
"It's interesting because I never really had designs on being a broadcaster. I was out with a neck injury for a while, and they called me to be a part of the press conference in Vegas with The Rock a year or so ago, and that was a lot of fun. I said, 'You know what? I'll keep doing this as long as it's fun.' So, I've enjoyed it. It's really such an interesting time in the industry with TKO taking over and all these pieces that are being shuffled about now. But I'm really enjoying it. I get to work with some really great broadcast partners, and as long as it continues to be fun, I still want to be here." (H/T - Fightful)
It looks like Big E is having the time of his life while away from wrestling. He probably not only found his true calling as a broadcaster but also the love of his life.
The former WWE Champion recently announced his engagement to Kris Yim. For those unaware, Kris is the real-life sister of SmackDown Superstar, Michin.
The wedding bells will soon be ringing for the couple. As far as his WWE future is concerned, fans will have to wait a little longer to see if he gets medical clearance to resume his passion.
