Goldberg is expected to return for a retirement match in WWE this summer. His last appearance came at Bad Blood 2024, and since then, the veteran has not been seen in the company. However, rumors have been buzzing lately that the WCW icon is gearing up for a blockbuster return to sow the seeds of a dream match against a 37-year-old star.

The Hall of Famer could confront World Heavyweight Champion Gunther next week. This speculation arose following a recent report by BodySlam.net, which suggested that WWE has plans to bring back Goldberg on the upcoming edition of RAW in Green Bay, WI. The report further added that the 58-year-old could kick off a feud with The Ring General with that very appearance.

The two superstars were involved in a heated face-off at Bad Blood 2024. It was quite evident that the segment was a setup for a potential clash between Gunther and Goldberg in the future. Well, WWE's next premium live event, Night of Champions, is set to take place in Saudi Arabia—a place known for featuring legends and hosting dream matches.

Hence, there are indeed very high chances that the Hall of Famer may make his return next week to challenge the 37-year-old to a match at Night of Champions on June 28. WWE could potentially put the World Heavyweight Championship on the line to raise the stakes for this clash. Besides, such a big showdown could be enough to add grandeur to the spectacle in Riyadh.

Goldberg to have his final match at Saturday Night's Main Event?

Goldberg is likely to wrap up his WWE career this summer. There has been a lot of buzz around the potential venue of his retirement match, with many considering it to be SummerSlam or a Saudi Arabian event. However, Da Man might choose the upcoming edition of Saturday Night's Main Event to hang up his boots.

Recently, during an interview with My San Antonio, the 58-year-old stated that he wants to have his final match in front of the people he cares about the most. The WWE legend added that despite living in Texas, he wants to have his retirement match in the South.

Interestingly, WWE is set to host a Saturday Night's Main Event in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 12. It happens to be the hometown of Goldberg. Therefore, considering the legend's recent comments, there is a high possibility that he may have his farewell match at SNME XL.

It will also be interesting to see who his final opponent will be. Only time will tell what the future holds for the WCW icon.
