4 Mistakes WWE made on RAW after Money in the Bank

While Money in the Bank was big for Naomi and Seth Rollins, neither did much on the RAW following the event. The Visionary appeared briefly on the show, but his focus was on Bron Breakker advancing in the King of the Ring tournament.

LA Knight thwarted his efforts as payback for attacks on SmackDown and at Money in the Bank. Nikki Bella, Bayley, and Ron Killings (fka R-Truth) also made surprising returns to WWE's flagship show.

While the show had a lot of great promos and moments, it still had a few issues that were difficult to digest. The following four mistakes were made on the RAW after Money in the Bank.

#4. Miss Money in the Bank wasn't on RAW

One glaring omission from the RAW after Money in the Bank involved Naomi. Winners of both the Money in the Bank and the Royal Rumble usually appear on both RAW and SmackDown since they can choose which champion to target.

Seth Rollins did so, as he is a member of the red brand's roster. Naomi won this year's women's Money in the Bank ladder match, but for some reason, she did not appear.

When Charlotte Flair and Jey Uso won the 2025 Royal Rumble matches, they made the rounds on both shows before making their choices for WrestleMania 41.

#3. Not hyping next week's King and Queen of the Ring competitors

While WWE announced the full bracket and next week’s King and Queen of the Ring matches, none of the participants received promo time during the latest RAW.

Asuka’s return was briefly hyped, but Ivy Nile, Stephanie Vaquer, and Raquel Rodriguez were not featured to promote the match. Rodriguez simply appeared during Liv Morgan's qualifying contest.

Sheamus and Rusev also didn't appear. Bronson Reed was seen backstage with Seth Rollins. There was plenty of time for short promos, as Liv Morgan received four segments of varying lengths.

#2. Liv Morgan's title is more of a prop

Commentators and Liv Morgan love to brag about being one-half of the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. However, this title reign has felt more like a run in name only.

Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez have not defended the titles since winning them on the RAW after WrestleMania. That’s nearly 45 days ago. Cathy Kelley interviewed The New Day and asked them why they weren’t defending their titles.

The issue is that they did so two weeks ago. If the champs won't defend their titles, officials need to consider different teams that could be crowned. They keep using Morgan in singles action instead of the tag team division.

The releases aren’t an excuse since there are still some teams in the division, such as Natalya and Maxxine Dupri, B-Fab and Michin, and Chelsea Green's squad.

#1. An underwhelming spot for a historic rematch

One of the biggest disappointments from the RAW after Money in the Bank was how WWE booked the highly anticipated showdown between CM Punk and John Cena.

The two were going to square off one last time before Cena retired. Since it didn't happen at WrestleMania, the next logical spot would have been SummerSlam. It’s the second biggest show of the year and will take place over two nights this year.

Instead of saving the massive showdown for The Biggest Party of the Summer, officials are running the match in Saudi Arabia at a secondary PLE, Night of Champions. A match of this magnitude deserves a much bigger stage.
