WWE officially confirms Mariah May new name

Former AEW star Mariah May made her shocking WWE debut last week on NXT. Her new name has been confirmed.

The company simply referred to her as The Glamour for an entire week, as she was slated to undergo a name change. The same thing happened to Ricky Saints, AKA Ricky Starks, when he left AEW for WWE. He also made a surprise debut in NXT and wasn't mentioned by name until he was given a new one the following week.

On the latest episode of NXT, WWE aired a vignette introducing The Glamour. The video began with her in a bathtub, applying makeup, putting on shoes, and revealing a black dress. Her new name was officially revealed as Blake Monroe.

According to Bodyslam.net's Cory Hays on X, Blake is a tribute to her niece, while Monroe is a tribute to the late Marilyn Monroe. The former AEW star appeared on NXT last week during Jacy Jayne's in-ring segment, which featured a brawl at ringside among multiple women.

Mariah May immediately expressed interest in the NXT Women's Championship, so it'll be interesting to see when a match between her and Jacy Jayne will happen.
