WWE RAW after Money in the Bank 2025 featured a massive surprise when Bayley made her return and attacked Becky Lynch. This happened when the newly crowned Women's IC Champion was about to celebrate her victory, but the Hugger suddenly made her arrival and attacked the Irish star.

In this article, we will discuss three reasons why the 35-year-old star returned on WWE RAW tonight.

#3. Bayley seeks revenge for WrestleMania attack

Bayley was originally set to be part of a Women's Tag Team title match with Lyra Valkyria at her side. However, on Night 1 of WrestleMania 41, the former Damage CTRL leader was mysteriously attacked, leading to Becky Lynch making her return and joining forces with Lyra.

Lynch turned heel on RAW after Mania and eventually revealed herself as the attacker of the former Women's Champion. Becky even marked the veteran as 'garbage' that she had taken care of at The Showcase of the Immortals.

So, one of the primary reasons behind the return of Bayley on RAW after MITB is surely her motive to exact revenge against the Women's IC Champion for the Mania attack.

#2. To set up a title match against Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch defeated Lyra Valkyria at Money in the Bank 2025 to become your Women's IC Champion. Another reason behind Bayley's return on RAW this week could be connected to WWE's intention to set up a title bout between Lynch and the Hugger.

The attack on Becky shows the clear intention that the 35-year-old female star is ready to destroy the Man. This will eventually set up a title bout, either at Night of Champions or at the Evolution 2025 Premium Live Event.

#1. WWE wants to add a surprise return to RAW after Money in the Bank

Usually, after a major Premium Live event, WWE tries to bring some surprises on the fallout show. Following this year's Money in the Bank PLE, the company surely wants to have some surprises for the fallout episode on Netflix.

This could be why Bayley made her return on this week's episode of RAW. The return of the former Women's Champion brings a surprise element to the show.

Further, it adds more depth to the Women's division heading into Evolution 2025. For those unaware, the all-women's PLE is set to emanate live on July 13 and will be airing from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
