Iran and Korea DPR will battle for three points in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Tuesday (June 10th). The game will be played at the Imam Reza Stadium.
The home side will be looking to bounce back from the 1-0 defeat they suffered away to Qatar last week. They were reduced to 10 men when Milad Mohammadi was sent off for two bookable offenses in quick succession and Pedro Miguel made them pay in the 41st minute, with his goal proving to be the match-winner.
Korea DPR, meanwhile, shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw at home to Kyrgyzstan. They went into the lead at the break thanks to Pak Kwang-Hun's 44th-minute goal, while Ri Jo-Guk doubled their lead seven minutes into the second half. Gulzhigit Alyklov halved the deficit in the 57th minute while Kim Sung-Hye's own goal deep into injury time ensured the two sides canceled each other out.
The loss left Chollima at the foot of Group A, having garnered just three points from nine games. Iran lead the way at the summit with 20 points from nine games.
Iran were the second Asian side to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and third overall following their 2-2 draw at home to Uzbekistan in March. Team Melli will be at the Mundial for the fourth successive time and seventh time overall.
Korea DPR, for their part, have been the worst side in the group and are still seeking their first win in this fixture.
Barring an unlikely upset, there should only be one winner here. We are backing the hosts to claim a routine victory and clean sheet.
Prediction: Iran 2-0 Korea DPR
Tip 1 - Iran to win
Tip 2 - Both teams to score: No
Tip 3 - Under 2.5 goals
