Estonia will face Norway at the Lilleküla Stadium on Monday in another round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The home side have endured a slow start to their qualifying campaign and sit third in Group I with three points from an obtainable nine.
After picking up a hard-fought 3-2 away win over Moldova in their second group game, Sinisärgid locked horns with Israel in game three and were beaten 3-1. Rapid Bucuresti midfielder Mattias Kati opened the scoring for Estonia at the half-hour mark before their opponents turned the game on its head in the second half.
Norway, meanwhile, have performed brilliantly in their qualifying campaign so far and are now hopeful of securing their first World Cup appearance in almost three decades. They picked up a thoroughly impressive 3-0 home win over group favorites Italy in their game on Friday, with three different players getting on the scoresheet for Løvene in the first half including star striker Erling Haaland, who scored for a fifth straight international outing.
The visitors sit atop Group I with nine points from three games and will be looking to widen their lead at the top with another win on Monday.
Sinisärgid have lost three of their last four matches and have won just two of their last nine. They have lost three of their last four games on home soil and will have their work cut out on Monday.
Norway, meanwhile, are on a five-game winning streak and have lost just one of their last nine. The sheer gulf in class and quality between the two teams coupled with their contrasting form should see the visitors win this one fairly easily.
