Costa Rica and Trinidad and Tobago will trade tackles in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Tuesday (June 10th). The game will take place at Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica.
The home side are coming into the game on the back of an 8-0 thrashing of The Bahamas over the weekend. They were 3-0 up at the break thanks to goals from Alonso Martinez, Joseph Mora and Alejandro Jesus Bran Flores. Orlando Galo, Manfred Ugalde and Alvaro Zamora scored a goal each in the second half while Warren Madrigal scored a brace.
Trinidad and Tobago, meanwhile, claimed maximum points with a 6-2 home win over St. Kitts and Nevis. Levi Garcia broke the deadlock in the ninth minute before missing a penalty in the 26th. Gvaune Amory and Tiquanny Williams scored either side of Dante Sealy to ensure the game was level at the break. Kevin Molino, Ajani Fortune and Nathaniel James scored a goal each after the break while Sealy completed his brace.
The win left The Soca Warriors in second spot in Group B, having garnered seven points from three games. Costa Rica lead the way with maximum points from three games.
Costa Rica have steamrolled their way through this group to this point, winning all three games, scoring 15 goals and conceding none. Los Ticos have won the last six head-to-head games on the bounce and are unbeaten in regulation time since 1991.
Trinidad and Tobago, for their part, are the second favorites to advance to the next round of the qualifiers. They have also scored 15 goals in three games played in the group so far but are still the underdogs.
We are backing the hosts to claim a comfortable win with goals at both ends.
Prediction: Costa Rica 3-1 Trinidad and Tobago
Tip 1 - Costa Rica to win
