What is Dakota Kai doing following her WWE release?

Dakota Kai was released from WWE last month. Her release shocked fans, and many of them are wondering what the former Damage CTRL member has been up to since she departed the global juggernaut.

Some fans believed that the reason for her release was her age. The Auckland-born star turned 37 a few days after she departed from the Stamford-based company. It's being rumored that she will soon join Tony Khan's All Elite Wrestling.

Dakota's 90-day non-compete clause is still active, as she was released at the beginning of May. The clause forbids wrestlers from competing elsewhere before 90 days have passed since their release.

Last month, the Wrestling Observer noted that Kai was unanimously praised by people in WWE. It was also reported that many people in the company believed that the former RAW Superstar was headed to the Jacksonville-based promotion. Dakota is most probably not done with wrestling and will be headed somewhere to wrestle once her non-compete clause expires.

IYO SKY calls Dakota Kai her soulmate

After her former Damage CTRL stablemate, Dakota Kai, was released from WWE, reigning Women's World Champion IYO SKY sent a heartfelt message to the 37-year-old on social media.

The Genius of The Sky took to Instagram to post pictures with Dakota and wrote that they ''are soulmates forever.'' She also called the Auckland-born star a beautiful person inside and out. The former stablemates are two-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.

"Such a beautiful person inside and out. @imkingkota ✨✨ I love you. We all love you. You and I are soulmates forever,'' the reigning WWE Women's World Champion wrote.
