The current WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan, have taken down every tag team that has come their way so far. In their fourth reign with the tag titles, they have defied the odds and stayed on top.
They have proven themselves to be a force to be reckoned with after their excellent performances. However, according to recent reports, two legends could return to dethrone the duo. This would be the Bella Twins!
WWE recently shocked fans via an announcement during the MITB 2025 Premium Live Event last night. The Stamford-based promotion advertised Nikki Bella’s return on the RAW after Money in the Bank. They later also posted it on social media. While most fans believed that this should have been kept as a surprise, this could be foreshadowing something more.
The two-time Divas Champion was last seen as a surprise participant in the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble. With the upcoming edition of RAW kicking off WWE’s King and Queen of the Ring tournament matches, she could be part of them.
It is unclear yet if her twin sister, Brie Bella, might also return. In April 2025, the Hall of Famer teased that The Bella Twins would eventually return to WWE. Her sister has been seen in AEW, supporting her husband, Bryan Danielson. Although merely speculation for now, if WWE indeed plans on using Nikki as a full-time star, they could also try to get Brie back, and the two stars could take on the current tag team champions at Evolution 2.
Evolution 2 will take place on July 13 in Atlanta, Georgia, and the WWE Universe would love to see how the young and cunning Morgan and Rodriguez take on two extremely talented veterans of the game.
Ahead of her return at WrestleMania 41’s Night One to help Lyra Valkyria win the tag team titles, many fans believed Becky Lynch was done for good. She had been gone for almost a year, with speculations that her contract had ended.
After she returned, she turned heel on Valkyria and has been feuding with her. This boosted the current Women’s Intercontinental Champion’s stock and put her over as a bigger babyface.
The Stamford-based promotion could do something similar with The Bella Twins. Since Nikki has already been advertised to return, she could have a singles run with the new talent. Once Brie comes in, they could reunite and go after the tag gold.
WWE is known to effectively use veterans as talent enhancements who often help put younger, up-and-coming talent over. This would be a great use of the iconic twin sisters without putting a lot of pressure on them.
