R-Truth is now back in WWE after massive backlash following the news of his exit. However, we can now confirm what happened just before he was brought back to the company.
Sources close to me have confirmed that several independent promotions had reached out to Truth after the news of his release broke out. Negotiations were in progress but they came to a sudden stop.
This indicates that R-Truth was only recently re-signed by Triple H and WWE to bring him back to the company for Money in the Bank.
The star had announced he was let go from the company shocking everyone. There was immediate and intense backlash as well, with fans chanting that they wanted R-Truth back in the company. John Cena even responded to the chants for Truth recently on SmackDown saying that they could not handle the Truth.
Now, though, the star is back in the company and cost John Cena the tag team match at Money in the Bank, interfering while wearing a hoodie. His return received a huge pop from fans who were all aware of the fact that he had been let go by WWE.
The upcoming shows should shed more light on the company's plans for the veteran.
