WWE has recently seen a sudden influx of young superstars on its roster, signaling that the future of the business is in safe hands. Former head writer Vince Russo even showered praise on one of these up-and-coming stars on the main roster.
The name in question is the current Intercontinental Champion, Dominik Mysterio. "Dirty" Dom's stock has risen exponentially in the past two years, ever since he got out of the shadow of his legendary father, Rey Mysterio, and aligned himself with The Judgment Day.
On Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo said that the 28-year-old was currently bulletproof in the company. He even compared Dominik with Drew McIntyre, claiming that The Scottish Warrior used to be bulletproof in WWE at one point.
"Dom now is [sic] wearing the bulletproof label. We can beat Dom to death, he's a bumping fool, but he's got enough heat that no matter what we do, he's going to stay over. He's got the new label," Russo said. [From 1:08:57 onwards]
Dominik Mysterio's rise within the company and popularity among fans have been one of the best character developments in recent times. The upstart went from being disliked by fans to becoming one of the most hated yet the most over heels in modern-day WWE. He received one of the loudest pops at WrestleMania 41 when he won the Intercontinental Championship.
