Vince McMahon buying WWE from TKO could happen, says Tommy Carlucci, under one major condition

Vince McMahon's reign as WWE's chairman ended in 2022, and later the company was sold to Endeavor in 2023. Recently, a former employee at the Stamford-based promotion, Tommy Carlucci, said Mr. McMahon could buy his former company from TKO under one condition.

In 2018, WWE's landscape changed when the promotion signed a multi-year deal to host events in Saudi Arabia. Later, it opened doors for more opportunities, and Mr. McMahon made a deal with Endeavor and sold the Stamford-based promotion.

Speaking on Behind The Turnbuckle Studios' The Coach and Bro, Jonathan Coachman explained a scenario that he got from Vince Russo, where Vince McMahon would buy WWE from TKO Group Holdings with the help of the Saudis after clearing his name from the Janel Grant lawsuit.

Vince Russo's theory indicates that Mr. McMahon was aware of the upcoming controversy, and the sale of the Stamford-based promotion was part of an act with Ari Emanuel. Tommy Carlucci reacted to the theory and believes it could happen if the Saudis decide to help Vince McMahon.

"Wow, that's incredible. And you know what? I think Vince [McMahon] was smart enough to do that. I'm serious, that's a great freaking idea because look what it does: it makes Vince a billionaire for the rest of his life. It sets Ari [Emanuel] free from debt in about a couple of years. The Saudis love Vince... So, it's a no-brainer, coach. I gotta tell you, man, that's an incredible thought and idea. But think about who we know who perpetrated that whole thing. It could definitely happen. And Ari is more of a shark than Vince ever would be," Carlucci said. (From 34:40 to 35:43)

Shane McMahon on whether Vince McMahon would buy WWE

Vincent J McMahon founded the Stamford-based promotion in the 50s and eventually sold it to his son in the 80s. However, Vince McMahon decided to sell the company to Endeavor instead of passing it on to his children, Shane and Stephanie McMahon.

In an interview on TMZ Sports, Shane McMahon was asked about the possibility of Mr. McMahon buying WWE from TKO Group Holdings. The second-generation star teased that anything could happen as McMahon is still a huge part of TKO.

"Well, he owns a big part of TKO still. So, you never know what's going to happen there either. So, I'm not trying to be vague. I'm just saying anything can happen," McMahon said. (From 00:35 to 00:42)

It'll be interesting to see what's next for The McMahons in the coming months.
