WWE is fresh off an unforgettable Money in the Bank 2025, the highlight of which was R-Truth's return, catching the wrestling universe by surprise. However, veteran personality Hugo Savinovich believes that tensions may be on the verge of escalating between Triple H and Nick Khan in the aftermath of the event.
Fans rejoiced at seeing Truth back just days after he announced that WWE was not renewing his deal. At the same time, this raised questions about the backstage happenings that led to the company bringing back the veteran performer. A report also shed light on how R-Truth didn't entertain the company's approaches until WWE President Nick Khan reached out.
This, combined with Triple H's refusal to clearly address R-Truth's comeback at the MITB 2025 post-show press conference, led to considerable speculation among fans. Speaking on Lucha Libre Online, Hugo Savinovich criticized The Game, claiming that the WWE Chief Content Officer didn't correct his mistakes by initiating R-Truth's return.
Savinovich then praised Nick Khan for stepping forward to mend all differences and clear the way for the beloved star's return. The wrestling veteran also speculated that this could indicate tensions between The Game and Khan, adding that this could escalate with R-Truth now back in the fold.
“I’ve seen it. I’ve been talent and part of creative. Sometimes we make mistakes, but real leaders admit it. That’s what fans respect. Someone owning up to mistakes. Triple H didn’t do that—instead, he made the locker room angrier. A true leader makes decisions that benefit everyone, not just himself. So Nick had to step in and act like a real leader. Will this tension between Triple H and Nick escalate? We’ll see. But Nick is higher up.” (H/T Ringside News)
A few days ago, while speaking on The Brand podcast, Vince Russo lashed out at Triple H's management skills. Russo recalled how Vince McMahon ensured everyone brought their A-game during his time as WWE's CEO.
He added that Triple H came across as confused and didn't know which direction to steer the ship in.
"Vince McMahon is not there anymore. You don't have a captain of the ship. You don't have anybody there keeping people in line and watching over people, and demanding excellence from people. And I'm just watching a show that, to me, consists of people that don't know what they're doing. At the top of that list being Triple H. I don't think this guy knows what he's doing," Russo said.
WWE is entering one of its busiest periods, with events like Night of Champions, Saturday Night's Main Event, Great American Bash, and Evolution 2025 scheduled for next month, followed by SummerSlam in August.
