Jey Uso lost his World Heavyweight Championship tonight on WWE RAW. As a result, a new champion has been crowned, and Adam Pearce has reacted.
Tonight on WWE RAW, Jey Uso defended his title against Gunther, very soon after Money in the Bank. At the event, he put everything on the line to face John Cena and Logan Paul while teaming up with Cody Rhodes. Over the course of the match, he took a lot of damage as well, with his ribs suffering a beating. Heading into this match, he had his ribs bandaged and was not at 100%.
However, facing Gunther, Jey Uso did not back down. He put his title on the line in the match and faced him despite being in bad condition. Unfortunately, even though he had the former champion in the same sleeper hold that won him the title, he was unable to secure the victory. The Ring General reversed and put him to sleep this time, causing him to lose consciousness as Gunther became the new World Heavyweight Champion.
Adam Pearce, the RAW General Manager, had good things to say about Gunther afterwards as well. He took to X, where he posted about the new champion being crowned, and congratulated him in his own language.
"Herzlichen Glückwunsch, Ringgeneral!"
This translates to, "Congratulations, Ring General."
It remains to be seen who Gunther faces for his first title defense.
