WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce has announced two high-stakes matches for tonight's edition of the red brand. The show is set to air live from PHX Arena in Phoenix.
The 46-year-old had previously announced that the King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments will get underway on the June 9 edition of Monday Night RAW. In a video posted by WWE moments ago, Pearce revealed an intriguing first set of qualifying matches for the show.
In a first-round Fatal Four-Way Match for the Queen of the Ring Tournament, Rhea Ripley will lock horns with long-time rival Liv Morgan, Kairi Sane, and RAW's latest acquisition, Roxanne Perez.
In another Fatal Four-Way qualifying match, WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio will face arch-rival Penta, Bron Breakker, and Sami Zayn for an opportunity to advance to the next round of The King of the Ring Tournament.
"Preparations are underway right now in the PHX Arena for Monday Night Raw tonight, where we kick off the King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments with two Fatal Four-Way Matches. On the women's side, Liv Morgan takes on Kairi Sane, Roxanne Perez, and Rhea Ripley. On the men's side, 'Dirty' Dominik Mysterio takes on Sami Zayn, Bron Breaker, and Penta," he said. In the main event of the show, Jey Uso will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther. It will be interesting to see if Mr. Money in the Bank Seth Rollins makes his presence felt during the championship bout.
