4 WWE Superstars who could be last-minute replacements for Jey Uso in the King of the Ring tournament 

The 2025 WWE King of the Ring Tournament is underway. The tourney's return was announced on the go-home edition of SmackDown before Money in the Bank and the first round matches began on last week's edition of RAW.

There will be another, and the final, first-round Fatal Four-Way match on RAW tonight. The bout was announced last week as Sheamus vs. Rusev vs. Bronson Reed vs. a mystery opponent, which was then revealed to be Jey Uso on Friday.

This has left many fans conflicted. Some of the audience adore Jey, and others are not as into The Yeet Man's act. At the same time, some who do like Jey are disappointed it wasn't somebody fresh and exciting.

There is a chance that Triple H and World Wrestling Entertainment realize Jey isn't an exciting option and actually plan to replace him in the match. This article will examine a few potential last-minute replacements ahead of RAW tonight.

#4. Karrion Kross could finally be pushed in WWE

Karrion Kross is a physically intimidating star on WWE Monday Night RAW. He is a former NXT Champion who hasn't quite had the same success on the main roster.

Something interesting has happened with Kross over the past six months or so. For a long time, Karrion was mocked by WWE fans, and many outright couldn't stand him. However, over time, the audience has gotten behind the former NXT Champion, and many want to see him pushed.

Despite that, no push has come. However, that could change come RAW tonight. Kross could replace Jey Uso at the last minute and join in on the hoss Fatal Four-Way Match. If Karrion wins, it could be the launching point his fans desire.

#3. Jimmy Uso would be the perfect replacement for Jey Uso if something happens to his twin

Jimmy Uso is one of the best tag team wrestlers in the history of the industry. He is a multi-time WWE Tag Team Champion and will undoubtedly be inducted into the Hall of Fame whenever he decides to retire.

Naturally, Jimmy is best known for being one-half of The Usos alongside Jey. Between their work as a tag team and within The Bloodline, Jimmy has carved out a legacy for himself that will be forever remembered by WWE fans.

If anybody had to replace Jey at the last minute, perhaps due to a mysterious attack, there is no better option than his own twin. Plus, Jimmy hasn't had the numerous singles opportunities that The YEET Master has received, so his spot in the bout might be more well-received by critics of Main Event Jey Uso.

#2. Goldberg could set up his feud with Gunther

Goldberg is one of the most legendary wrestlers in the history of the sport. He rose up through WCW with an undefeated streak and won the world title. He later joined WWE and won multiple world titles in the sports entertainment juggernaut too.

Da Man is rumored to be returning on WWE Monday Night RAW tonight. The assumption by many is that he will challenge The Ring General to a match at Night of Champions. However, Goldberg could take a different route to Gunther.

Instead of simply challenging Gunther for a match at Night of Champions, Da Man could replace Jey Uso in the King of the Ring Tournament in the hopes of earning a title shot at SummerSlam. A match at The Biggest Party of the Summer would be a much bigger deal than a retirement bout at Night of Champions.

#1. Roman Reigns could show up and take the spot

Roman Reigns is one of the biggest stars in WWE today. In fact, an argument could be made that he's the number one needle mover in the industry, although names such as John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and The Rock are also up there.

Unfortunately, fans haven't seen or heard from the OTC in nearly two months. Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins brutally attacked him on WWE RAW after WrestleMania, which happened just days after Paul Heyman shockingly betrayed him.

While most fans assume Reigns' return would be in the form of revenge, he could instead replace Jey Uso and enter the King of the Ring Tournament. Winning the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam could be sweeter revenge for the OTC than any kind of pain inflicted on his rivalries could be.
