3 WWE stars who should have won the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match instead of Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins made history by winning the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match again this year. The Visionary made good on his promise to win the briefcase for a second time so he could guide the industry into the future.

While Seth Rollins has been a top star and one of its hardest workers over the last decade, he didn't win it without a lot of help. Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker came down to wreck shop so he could grab the case. Surprisingly, despite several claims that they want to prevent The Architect from doing so, neither CM Punk nor Sami Zayn showed up to prevent it from happening.

While Rollins is a logical choice to win this year's match, the next three WWE stars could have been better choices than the now two-time winner:

#3. Penta could have used a monumental push

Penta entered WWE with a lot of fanfare. Even casual wrestling fans knew who he was due to his time in TNA and AEW. The luchador won his first few matches and even earned a shot at the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 41.

However, he lost when his rival, Dominik Mysterio, captured his first singles title in WWE's main roster. Penta then lost to Dirty Dom two more times, with some help from The Judgment Day.

A star like Penta could have used the push associated with winning Money in the Bank. The show was in Los Angeles, and he's huge in that part of the country.

#2. Solo Sikoa has done nothing but lose in recent months

When Solo Sikoa debuted as the youngest member of the OG Bloodline, it seemed big things were in his future. He was booked as a quiet, dominant powerhouse who even beat John Cena in a singles match in Saudi Arabia.

After Roman Reigns' usual post-WrestleMania hiatus, Sikoa took over The Bloodline and was booked strongly. It was mainly so he could challenge Cody Rhodes a few times when he was still Undisputed WWE Champion.

Once those pursuits ended, he was booked as a stepping stone, always losing to Reigns and other top faces of the company. Winning the Money in the Bank contract would have also made Jey Uso wake up and potentially give his title run the jolt it desperately needs.

#1. 2025 felt like LA Knight's year to win Money in the Bank

If 2025 was tailor-made for one WWE star to win the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match, it was LA Knight. He was in his third ladder contest in three years and had his fingers on the case during both previous bouts.

The Megastar did so again in Los Angeles, but Rollins' minions ran through the competition. They also did so on SmackDown, so it should have at least meant someone would get a measure of revenge by winning the case instead of Rollins. The Money in the Bank PLE was also in his hometown, and it's okay for stars to win in their hometowns every once in a while.

Rollins didn't need the Money in the Bank case to get a title shot; he had one on the RAW after WrestleMania, whereas Knight has had fewer than a handful in his WWE career.
