Titled Ravishing Light and Glory, Duster season 1 episode 5 will be released next week on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 9 pm ET, only on Max. It is expected to reveal what Jim will decide to tell Saxton and how he plans to keep his boss from being suspicious.
Meanwhile, the next episode will continue Agent Nina Hayes and Awan's investigation into Saxton. But this time, there is another mystery person added to the mix.

A brief recap of Duster season 1 episode 4
In Duster season 1 episode 4, Jim Ellis fends off an assassin Mad Raoul had sent after him for going back on his blood oath to go to Mexico. Jim fought Enrique The Blade, but they quickly turned from enemies to drinking buddies over a bottle of Kentucky Bourbon and the different types of social mobility by Russian sociologist Pitirim Sorokin.
They find kinship with each other, who are servants to their masters and are unnoticed in the jobs they do. Enrique spared Jim's life after they made a deal—Jim would allow Enrique to take Howard Hughes' car, the one Saxton sent Royce to take from its owner, in exchange for his life. However, two thieves have stolen the car, so Jim and Enrique have to work together to retrieve it.
Meanwhile, Breen made way for Nina and Awan to discover his old VHS tape where he mentioned someone named "Xavier" and about exposing Xavier's network, but to trust no one until the job is done.
What to expect in Duster season 1 episode 5
Following the events in the previous episodes, there are only several ways Jim's story can continue. He will have to find the best way to drop the news of losing the car to Saxton. The boss is bound to have questions, and so will Royce, who had seen Enrique The Blade with Jim when he tried to follow the car thieves. What Jim decides to tell Saxton will be a mystery Duster season 1 episode 5 will reveal.
Meanwhile, Agent Nina Hayes and Awan will be conducting a deeper investigation into Saxton after Breen's VHS tape. With the new name in the mix, fans can expect them to try to find out the identity of that person and how he is connected to Saxton.
So far, there are still no updates on whether Sergeant Groomes made it or not, and the previous episode has not revealed the identity of the man called "Cowboy" from Duster season 1 episode 2. The two could remain a mystery, or all could be revealed in the upcoming episode.
