Jeezy appeared on the June 11, 2025, episode of The Breakfast Club to discuss his career and his upcoming tour, TM:101 Live, which will celebrate the 20th anniversary of his album, Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101.
While talking about his views on relationships, host Charlamagne tha God asked the rapper how he felt about his 2023 interview with actress Nia Long and when people started claiming he was flirting with her. Jeezy admitted that people weren't wrong, and he was trying to "holla" at her.
"They wasn't lying," the rapper said.
For the unversed, Nia Long broke up with her basketball player boyfriend, Ime Udoka, in December 2022. They dated for 13 years. Meanwhile, Jeezy married television host Jeannie Mai in 2021, and their daughter Monaco was born on January 11, 2022. In September 2023, the rapper filed for divorce, which was finalized in June 2024.

Mai jokingly asked Shepherd why staying at home isn't becoming a trend instead.
"Girl, the streets scare me. Can we just bring back spending time by yourself? Journaling, being at home in your grandma panties, and just not caring?... I don't wanna be in the streets. The streets don't want me. I wanna be by myself," Mai said.
