On June 12, 2025, a fan account for BOYNEXTDOOR’s Jaehyun, @124hyunee, shared a recent encounter between him and BTS’ Jungkook on X. According to the fan account, Jaehyun spoke about the interaction during an episode of MBC radio’s EMKA.
Jaehyun shared that he spotted Jungkook inside the company building. He quietly trailed after him, hoping to greet him, but ultimately couldn’t muster the courage to initiate a conversation.
The 21-year-old admitted he felt slightly disheartened about missing the opportunity. Supporters quickly responded online, calling him "adorable." One X user commented:

BOYNEXTDOOR’s Jaehyun drew attention for covering BTS' Jungkook’s solo tracks. On February 4, 2025, he went live on Weverse and performed Still With You. The track was released by BTS’ Jungkook in 2020.
This isn’t the first time Jaehyun has sung Jungkook’s music. In 2024, he covered several of the BTS singer’s songs across different platforms. On January 11, 2024, he performed Standing Next to You during a live stage on M Countdown.
A few months later, in March, Jaehyun sang Euphoria and Too Sad to Dance during another Weverse live. Fans responded across social media, noting how often he covers Jungkook’s songs.
He has also been compared to Jungkook in terms of appearance. Even before his debut, people online pointed out their similarities—especially their smiles and haircuts, which resembled Jungkook's past styles.
