Did Adele testify in Diddy's trial? Viral courtroom video claim debunked

A video shared on June 7 claimed that Adele, the English singer-songwriter, testified in Sean "Diddy" Combs' trial. The 39-minute and 59-second-long video was posted by the YouTube channel True Crime Expose and was captioned:

"1 MINUTE AGO: Adele Tells the Judge Everything – Diddy Wasn't Ready"

The video description read

"Adele, who became the unexpected voice of truth throughout the trial, returned to witness the collapse of a legacy built on fear, money, and silence."

According to True Crime Expose's video, Adele's supposed testimony consisted of "evidence ranging from secret recordings to financial documents." The video has gained over 51K views and 1.2K likes at the time of writing.

However, the claim made in the video is untrue. Adele did not testify in Diddy's trial, and neither prosecutors nor defense attorneys mentioned the singer during the legal proceedings; therefore, she was not included on the witness list.

Although Adele and the Bad Boy Records founder have mentioned each other in the past during separate interviews, the English songstress has not been linked to Combs' s*x crime allegations or the trial. Furthermore, a disclaimer added at the beginning of True Crime Expose's viral video admitted to not having a credible source to verify the information shared in it:

"Attention! Information about this case is taken from open sources from the internet! The author is not engaged in own investigation!"

Adele did not testify in Diddy's s*x trafficking trial

True Crime Expose's video claiming to include Adele's alleged testimony in Sean Combs' trial also mentioned the same from a few others — attorney Camille Vasquez, who represented Johnny Depp in his defamation battle against Amber Heard; Quincy Brown, Al B. Sure! and Kim Porter's son whom Combs adopted, and the late author Erica Kennedy (seemingly misspelled as Erika).

However, none of these individuals testified during Combs' trial, especially Erika, who died in June 2012. Camille Vasquez also has no connection to Combs' legal proceedings. Combs' son, Quincy, had visited the court alongside his siblings to support their father, but he is not one of the witnesses in the case.

These claims made in the video contradict real events, rendering the rest of the information unreliable and inconsistent. Adele did speak about Sean "Diddy" Combs in the past, recalling a humorous incident.

The singer reportedly told The Sun in a 2011 interview that she nearly ran Sean Combs over with a golf buggy while promoting her debut album, 19, in the US. In a 2015 interview with Billboard, Combs also discussed Adele, showering the singer with praise ahead of her then-upcoming third studio album 25. Diddy told the outlet:

"She makes incredible songs so that demand for true songs — there's not a lot of that out here so you're seeing a natural public response of somebody that's connected to understanding the importance of the song."

Combs added that Adele's music has the ability to move one emotionally. Despite prior mentions, Adele's name has not been referenced during Diddy's federal trial since it began in May. There has been no documented report supporting True Crime Expose's claim. Therefore, it can be concluded that the claim is fabricated and false.
