La Liga club ready to sell players to fund permanent move for Manchester United outcast Antony: Reports
Real Betis are reportedly ready to offload players to land out-of-favour Manchester United winger Antony. The Brazilian spent the second half of last season on loan at Betis.
In 26 games across competitions, Antony, 25, registered nine goals and five assists. Most of those goal contributions - five goals and two assists in 17 games - came in La Liga, where Manuel Pellegrini's side finished sixth, qualifying for the UEFA Europa League.
Following the end of his loan spell, Antony is set to return to his parent club. As per AS (via Tribal Football), though, Betis wants to have the Brazilian permanently. Antony could be available for €30-40 million, for which Betis are ready to sell players to fund the move.
However, it's pertinent to note that Anthony will likely have to take a pay-cut, should the move materialise, having failed to make his mark at Old Trafford since arriving from Ajax in the summer of 2022 on a reported €95 million move.
In 96 appearances across competitions for United, he has bagged 12 goals and five assists, a massive drop from his Ajax numbers: 24 goals and 22 assists in 82 games across competitions.
