Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly keen on staying in the Premier League despite nearing an exit from Manchester United. According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayer Leverkusen are interested in signing the Argentine attacker, but the deal looks complicated due to Garnacho's desire to play in the English top tier.

Garnacho joined United's youth side in October 2020 from Atletico Madrid. After playing for the youth sides for more than a year, he made his senior debut for the Red Devils in April 2022. At that time, the Argentine attacker was seen as one of United's top future stars.

However, due to inconsistent performances, the 20-year-old found himself falling in the pecking order at Old Trafford. In the 2023-24 campaign under Erik ten Hag, he scored 10 goals and provided seven assists in 50 appearances across competitions. Garnacho also started 30 Premier League games for United, as the Red Devils also won the FA Cup.

Meanwhile, he started 23 Premier League games last season. He was unhappy after not being named in the side's starting XI for the UEFA Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur. After finishing 15th in the Premier League and losing in the Europa League final, United are making reinforcements ahead of the new season.

Garnacho is reportedly not on good terms with Ruben Amorim and is likely to leave the Old Trafford outfit this summer. However, a move outside England seems complicated because he's keen on playing in the Premier League.

Bayer Leverkusen, especially after the appointment of Erik ten Hag as their new manager, have been a top admirer of the 20-year-old.

According to ESPN Argentina's Leo Paradizo, transfer talks between Manchester United and Emiliano Martinez are underway. Ruben Amorim views the Argentine goalkeeper as a replacement for former Ajax custodian Andre Onana.

Onana joined the Red Devils from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023. His performance and multiple high-profile blunders between the sticks have forced United to pursue a new first-choice goalkeeper this summer.

As a result, the Red Devils are looking forward to signing Aston Villa's Martinez. Paradizo said about the transfer (via Metro):

"Talks have already begun, contacts so that Martinez can join Manchester United. Of all the possibilities that he has in his immediate future, Manchester United is the one that excites him the most."
"The clubs are going to take their time, but yes, I can confirm that the contact between Manchester United and Martinez has already started," he added.

Emiliano Martinez seemed to wave goodbye to his supporters during Villa's last game of the season last month. Apart from United, the Argentine goalkeeper has also received interest from Saudi Pro League sides.
