Palestine and Oman clash at the King Abdullah II Stadium in Amman, Jordan on Tuesday for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. It's their last fixture of the third round as both teams face a make-or-break situation in a bid to reach the fourth round.
With 10 points from nine games, Oman are currently in fourth position in Group B and as things stand, will head into the next round of the qualifiers. They just need a draw in their last fixture of the third round.
Earlier this week, the Reds fell to a 3-0 loss to Jordan with Ali Olwan netting a sensational hat-trick to send them to the World Cup for the first time in the nation's history. It also undid a lot of good work by Oman lately, as they had held Asian giants South Korea to a 1-1 draw before seeing off Kuwait 1-0, both away from home.
On the same day as their loss to Jordan, Palestine beat Kuwait 2-0 to keep their progression hopes alive. Tamer Seyam put them in front after 32 minutes before Mohammed Abou Ali fired a penalty just two minutes from added time.
The Lions of Canaan won for just the second time in nine qualifiers but it keeps them just a point off Oman in fifth, with only Kuwait performing worse in the group than them and their qualifying run also over.
The pressure is more on Palestine, who need to beat Oman to finish inside the top four places and advance into the fourth round of the qualifiers. However, the Reds won't let their opponents just walk all over them as their own progress is on the line here.
The Middle Eastern rivals should play out an exciting game full of goals, but may end up sharing the spoils.
Prediction: Palestine 2-2 Oman
Tip 1 - Result: Draw
Tip 2 - Goals over/under 2.5: Over 2.5 goals
Tip 3 - Both teams to score: Yes
