Ravindra Jadeja was last seen in action during the recently concluded IPL 2025. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) picked up 10 wickets across 14 innings at an economy rate of 8.56. With the bat, the southpaw was his team's second-highest run-getter of the edition, amassing 301 runs from 14 outings at a strike rate of 135.58.

The Chennai-based side endured a dismal campaign. With just four wins in 14 fixtures, they finished at the bottom of the points table for the first time in the league's history.

It is worth mentioning that India will be without senior batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the England tour. The two former captains announced their retirements from Test cricket last month.

The five-match series also marks the beginning of Shubman Gill's Test captaincy. The series opener will be played at Headingley, Leeds, from June 20 to 24.
